Every ceiling deserves perfection.
Popcorn Ceilings...
Back in the day houses were built with the now dredded "popcorn" ceilings. That was originally made to help with acoustics throughout your home. Now we have other ways to help the "echo" sounds.
There are a few ways to remove that popcorn but it is a messy process. Soaking with water and scraping off is the main way to rid your ceilings of the popcorn.
Houses built prior to 1980 may contain Asbestos so please make sure your home is free of that before starting.
Painted ceilings...
Use a flat paint, it will hide flaws easier than a glossy paint.
Bright white is an excellent color for ceilings. It will go with any color you may paint on your walls and it helps the room look taller and brighter.
Wood planks or ceiling tiles...
Can be used to cover up popcorn ceilings.
Create a "statement" ceiling.
